Back to the City is a series of temporary urban art interventions scheduled for 24 January - 17 February 2008 in Newcastle, NSW. We are calling on collaborative teams of artists, architects and landscape architects to submit proposals for a series of site-specific installations. Sixteen teams will take part in the exhibition with seven teams already pre-selected.

Artisan is pleased to announce the call for applications for the Mentorship Grant for Emerging designer-makers for 2007. The mentorship grant enables an emerging designer-maker to work with an established mentor for a 3-month period. Funds of $7,200 (ex GST) will go towards the mentoree's living and working expenses during the mentorship, and $1,800 (ex GST) will be paid to the mentor.

The South Australian Youth Arts Board oversees several scholarships including the Ruth Tuck Scholarship (visual arts) for $12,500, administered by the Carclew Youth Arts. Created to honour Ms Tuck's work as a painter and teacher of distinction, the scholarship is to assist young South Australians to further their professional development and training in the visual arts and design.
