Artist Statement
A great synergy bursts onto canvas as I bind the elements of my practices together which for many years I have kept apart as studio painting, 3 dimmensional public works and assemblage in salvaged materials.
This is the edge of a very personal journey drawing from personal history, strength of practice and intuitive processes.
My narrative explores the threads that bind and weave between my father and I, a common surgical craft and the longstanding tension traversing the practical, theoretical and gender abyss.
