Notice Board FAQs

Who can post a notice to the NAVA Notice Board?

All registered users of visualarts.net.au are eligible to upload to the NAVA Notice Board, however any notice that is deemed inappropriate, offensive or considered to be spam by NAVA will be edited or removed at NAVA’s discretion.

How do I post a notice to the website?

To upload a notice you will need to be logged in as a registered user. For more information about registering and logging in see the Login/Register FAQs.
Once you have logged in, click on ‘create notice’ under ‘Notice Board’. Here you will be asked to choose a title for your post (Please do not use full caps), the notice category, the start date, contact email, end date, web address and the details of the post. Once you have completed the required fields click submit.

What kind of language and style should I use when posting?

Please keep titles short and succinct and use capital letters only where necessary (i.e. for acronyms) to keep with our overall style. Details of the notice should be clear and concise, use accessible, inoffensive language and be limited to 100 words.

What if my post fits into more than one category?

The Notice Board categories are:

* Announcements
* Employment, Volunteers, Internships
* Events, Seminars and Workshops
* Openings and Exhibitions
* Studios or Resources Available

Please choose the most suitable category for your post. If a notice is posted more than once, all duplicates will be deleted.

How do I edit or remove my post?

To edit or delete your post, find the post either via the noticeboard or the website search function. If you are the person who submitted the post and are logged in, an edit tab should be visible at the top of the post. Click on this ‘edit’ tab and you will be able to edit your post or delete it via the button at the bottom of the page.

Why doesn’t my website link properly?

Web addresses need to have 'http://' at the beginning of the address so that they work correctly.

How does the Calendar work?

Only notices submitted to the categories: ‘Events, Seminars and Workshops’ and
‘Openings and Exhibitions’ appear on the Calendar. When an event or exhibition opens on a particular date this day will appear blue. To view all the events and exhibitions for a particular date, click on the specific date in the calendar.

How can I have my exhibition included in the NAVA fortnightly eBulletin?

Exhibitions and events listed in the NAVA eBulletin are selected from the NAVA Notice Board and are intended as a demonstration of the range of exhibitions and visual art events happening across Australia.
